Is It Crazy to Walk In These Or Is It a Shoe Addiction?

Ok…I confess….I love shoes.  I have more shoes than I care to admit at this time.  My closet is overflowing.  My office is decorated in varying heel heights so that I am always prepared whatever the occasion.  I am the CEO of a woman’s shoe company. Ok…I’ll admit it!   I am a shoe addict.

Some might take that as a negative but I relish in it.  I’m know as the “Queen of Heels” and what a great empire to rule…platforms, stilettos, flats, mules, sandals, high heels, kitten heels, boots, Mary Janes…you can call them what you wish.  They are all part of what I call “heaven on earth.”

The true addict has more shoes than what some would deem necessary which is a shock to her.  Someone once asked me if I thought I was excessive and I found myself perplexed as I thought everyone felt the need to have every color foot ornament in varying sizes and shapes.  Making decisions on sizes, colors, shapes, comfort levels, and fabrics is something I do everyday and I can’t say I ever get tired of it but just because of sheer exposure a shoe that makes me go wow has to stand out.  In fact, I pride my company in only selecting these styles.  We are anything but ordinary…because shoe addicts need to be wowed!!

Number One Seller

This shoe arrived at our store a few weeks ago and has caused quite a stir.  I never buy a shoe twice but I had such a demand that I bought every shoe I could get my hands on.  Why so popular?  I think the color has a lot to do with it.  Nude is hot right now!!  It’s an easy kitten heel so the amount of people who can wear them is huge.  The bow is dramatic and has a definite european flair which is not found in today’s styles.  This is a winner with an affordable price….afforable luxury fashion…I told you this was heaven on earth!  (available on eBay  if you can’t get to the store  http://stores.ebay.com/Deborah-Stilettos22).  It is currently available in nude, red and black.  Stunning and one you will not want to pass up.

For those who are looking for a little bit of a wilder look, go no further.  When I spotted these lovelies at the Las Vegas Shoe Show, I knew my shoe addict sisters would melt and they have over and over again when seeing them.  The attraction?  Different, animal print, rhinestones…three strikes only this one gets a home run.

If you aren’t getting your man to whistle a love song when you wear these, you better check his pulse.  A true winner!  I would even call this “zexy”…ok I made it up but isn’t it a good word to describe it?   Available on eBay  http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-HEART-KITTEN-HEELS-CHEETAH-AND-RHINESTONES-SO-UNIQUE-STAND-OUT-/170834293248?pt=US_Women_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item6d756d0ace.

Ok…now for my high heels sisters who graduated with a PhD in heels.  There are not enough words to describe them so lets just say sexy…crazy…heels and leave it at that.

This is available on our other shopping site.  http://www.bonanza.com/listings/4-CRAZY-UNIQUE-HEEL-IN-LEOPARD-AND-CHEETAH-PRINTS/72125481.

Don’t worry if these are not your personality…we have over 180 styles to choose from so go ahead…take the plunge…your closet has room.

70′s Mod Heels- Making A Comeback!!

When I started thinking about writing this blog I must admit that I was a little taken back that it was 40 years ago!  My teenage years were spent in the eighties but there was something magical about the disco era.  It was polyester, Afros, and platform shoes.  It was outrageous, fun, and crazy and most of all it’s back again.  So dig through your closet or enjoy these retro fashions…

1970's Retro Remakes

The craze of the 70′s brought bold colors, beefed up platforms in the front and chunky heels that were sometimes even a place to keep your pet fish.

Fish Bowl Heels of the 1970's

The disco era brought dancing back in fashion and while the girls and even the guys rocked the night on…these heels proved to be the perfect dance shoe…providing no one stepped on your foot!

So I’m curious Bellas…do any of these flashbacks still find a home in your closet?  Or do you remember one shoe in particular that brings back some great memories?  Share with us. I would love to reminicess with you.

The Savory Outdoors- Style, Fashion, Heels

While bright colors are certainly making their statement this spring season, minimalists please don’t fret.  The textures of the outdoors are also in the mix.  Natural woods are showing on the heels of some of the highest and fun chunky heels.  I certainly love the bright colors and am excited to add these palettes to my already burdened shoe closet but there is still something very appealing to the look of these wooden high heels, purses and even jewelry.  While I don’t necessarily think these are the greatest pairings with the pinks, greens and yellows that are flashing across the fashion magazines, I do think the natural look looks very appealing with black, white and of course the creams and browns.

There is nothing quite like going to the beach for a romantic dinner wearing a simple cream flowey dress with wooden adornments.  It’s almost as if you become as appealing as the natural setting.

Personally, I love the wooden heels that started coming out late in the fall of 2011 as a teaser to the upcoming trend of the spring.  The heels almost look like furniture of the feet.  They are playful, charming and in some strange way they are a bit sophisticated.  Coming off the very thin stilettos heel, the chunky heel of the spring adapts well to this natural approach.

I’m on my way to Las Vegas next weekend so the vendors have been wonderful in mailing every catalog to me in advance.  I have seen a few of the platforms following the same suit as the heel having a very heavily stated front platform lift.  It’s a very interesting look and one I will definately be adding to my assortment of shoes.

Flares Are In…What Heels To Wear?

Every time I turn around, another fashion influence from the 70′s seems to be making a come back.  The platform shoe, the chunky heels, the color orange as the exciting palatte of the spring and now…pants with flares.  For any of us who actually remember the 70′s will also recall that this fashion style looks best on a girl who is tall with more narrower hip- neither of which I was blessed.  However, if you can’t seem to put this trendy look on the back shelf, there are things you can do just in case you are height deprived and maybe more volumptous in the hip department.

Off the shoulder tops not only look great with this fashion for the moment look but they will also slim down a more robust hip width.  Whatever you do, DON’T hem flares!  This will only distort the proportions making your body type look clumsy.  Find a company who caters to the shorter woman.  They will have done all of the calculations to make these pants with the proper ratios.

Of course…my love….heels.  Heels, once again to save the day, will give you height just by sliding them on but there is some consideration to make when chosing the right shoe with a flared pant.  The first look gives the look more of a classic, professional look-the pump.  I would recommend chosing a pump with a higher heel.  The most recommended styles are the wedge and chunky platforms for the sheer fact that these shoes are were all the craze during the days of disco.

Flares

Since these pants will most likely follow the fashion timeline of here today and gone tomorrow, I would like to suggest that keeping the pants less trendy by limiting too many embellishments.  Denim seems to be the highlighted fabric.

So have a throwback moment Bellas but perhaps leave that God awful blue eyeshadow in the past.  Us girls from the 70′s will be left up to show the younger girls just how much fun it is to rock this look.

Platform and Magic….Shoe Show From Heaven

In a few weeks, I will have the sheer pleasure of traveling to Las Vegas for the BIGGEST shoe show in the world.  Besides the fact of its fabulous location, the shoe show is the closest thing to heaven…if your not someone’s husband.  I remember the first time I went…we went through registration not really knowing what to expect.  Then we rounded the corner and crossed over the threshold and went through the doors…and my…HEAVEN.  There was music playing, gorgeous girls wearing the shortest dresses with the highest heels and shoe, heels, stilettos, flats, platforms, boots, flip flops, sneakers….EVERYWHERE!  Now I may totally sound like a drama queen but I think there was a few minutes where I was in heavy hyperventilating mode.  The ADD in me wanted to run in twelve different directions and I was momentarily certain that all the shoes would be booked before I got to sit down with each vendor.  There were sparkles, straps, glitter, bling, leather, feathers, polys, plastics…anything you can think of someone else had thought of to create a new shoe.  There were prototypes which are heels/shoes that are just outside of the box thinking and most likely won’t go to production.  This is much like the futuristic cars you will see at a car show.

It truly is an amazing experience to sit among all the different styles and narrow your choices down to seventy styles…hoping that you will pick the perfect heels for your customer.

So I will be off again and would love for anyone to put a special request in.  Thanks so much.  Kisses Bellas.  Deborah Stilettos  www.DeborahStilettos
